A long-time Colorado resident, Kirk developed his passion for jazz
through attending many evenings through several years of live performances by
then local artist Rob Mullins who performed regularly at the now defunct Regas Mediterranean Café. His musical influences include Burt Bacharach, Andreas Vollenweider, Rob Mullins, the Kinks, James Gang, Lalo Schifrin, and even Sir Arthur Sullivan (of Gilbert & Sullivan.) Williams gained early
performance experience with the Indiana-based band, "The Elements of
Time" in the 1960's.
