Why Worry About RSI?

By the age of 20 . . . their bodies are likely to find that their "invincible" youth disguised a breeding ground for pain.
Why worry about Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) or ergonomics? 15 years can elapse before symptoms of poor posture and body positioning manifest into problems with the musculoskeletal structures. In other words: "It takes a long time before I hurt."

Today our children are learning to utilize the computer at ages in the single digits. By the age of 20 -- or just when children begin to become adults and starting careers -- their bodies are likely to find that their "invincible" youth disguised a breeding ground for pain.

Ergonomics awareness is a reality that must be embraced. We spend so much time at the keyboards that it is an obsession and passion that is rapidly surpassing the wasted time we used to spend watching television. The legacy we leave our children should not be one of pain.
